    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to uninstall Cyberlink PowerDVD but I can't because "An installation support file could not be installed-The system cannot find the file specified".

Can I uninstall it by deleting it from the registry? Does anyone know how to deal with this issue?

    hellowimtim,

I tried to install but a message comes up that says I should uninstall the stuff that's still there first, but I can't uninstall because "an installation support file could not be installed & the system cannot fild the file specified".

If I were to delete the Cyberlink folder that's in my Programs files, would that allow me to install, or would it create more problems?

Thanks for the suggestion about the uninstaller--can you recommend one? I couldn't find anything on MG. Would an uninstaller work after the program is already installed? (Sigh...so many questions, so little geek). :)

Try to uninstall, or install then uninstall while in safe mode.

Asus, I tried but no go, although I didn't try to force an install. When I tried to install it said I should exit and remove the old install first, but what would happen if I just went ahead and installed without uninstalling? Should I?

I think that system restore has created this problem (not me o no not me :) )and I don't know how to fix it. On Mar 7 I had powerdvd5 installed but it wouldn't work so on Mar 8 I uninstalled it and installed powerdvd4 (because I have the cd) instead. Then I had to system restore back to Mar 7 because of a Norton problem, and now it looks like both dvd4 & 5 are there but only the dvd5 icons are highlighted in the folders. I can't restore back to Mar 8 because I had to disable system restore. Is this making any sense to anyone???? HELP!

    ???
I would do as helloimtim suggested:
"You could go to start, search, find all the entries of the program right click the folder then delete"
Search all files & folders for "Cyberlink PowerDVD" delete them all one by one, if some dont want to delete, do all that will, then any that didnt try again, if still have problem open the folder then delete the contents.
Just make sure you know what your deleting.

Have you looked at thier web for help:
