Help Using Ashampoo Burning Studio 7

i have just purchased ashampoo burning studio 7 and I'm having problems trying to burn a movie file to a DVD+R disc . I have clicked on both " burn files and folders and " burn movies" and so far I can only play the disc on my computer when clicking on " burn movies" so which is the better option , and what write speed should I use and also when clicking on " OPTIONS FOR INSERTED DVD+R" I'm not sure if I should click on any of the 4 options such as #1 - verify written folders after recording #2 - finalize DVD #3- burn DVD at the once speed#4- copy all data to hard disc image . I have ruined several discs so I appreciate any advice I can get .
