help w/leechget?

Can you restart a download with leechget personal? I've got a half finished download in my documents, but can't get it to restart. It's not in the leechget que, it got bumped when my computer got disconnected. thx

 

Normally you can. I use Leechget. There is a tab called Failures where half finished downloads usually appear. Clicking on the failed download should restart it. I don't have anything listed in Failures at the moment so can not check it out for sure. Only thing I can suggest is to delete any reference to your failed download and try again. I have set my system to download stuff to "My downloads" folder. You may have something similar ("My Documents?"), and your failed download may appear there. Right click to delete it and start again. yes you can restart one if the server you are downloading from supports the resume function, if the server does not support this feature then that could be the reason you cannot restart the download or it may be that the server and/or file is unreachable/offline.

where is the failures tab? and yeah, leechget got cleared when my computer restarted. there is just a "leechget unfinished download" on my c: drive.

are you using leechget personal or pro?

 

Bottom left of screen is a Tab called "History". Click on that and it opens up 5 tabs. One of which is "Failures". If you close Leechget with these tabs displayed it should open that way in future. I am so used to this display that I forgot that other opening displays are possible.

Delete the Leechget Unfinished download wherever it is and try again.

Well since I'd downloaded that file, I've reinstalled XP, so it's proberly not going to restart. It was a 60+ MB Blink 182 concert, of which I got 50.4 MB on a DIAL UP!, so you can see where I'd just like to simply restart it instead of redownloading it. Thanks for the help, though. Mabye I'll go to the leechget homepage and put in a wishlist for it. Seems like a good feature, no? Just right click and restart. Peace.

 

Why don't you get someone with broadband, or better, to download Blink 182 concert for you and burn it to CD. As I mentioned before, there is a Failures tab. Maybe you should uninstall your copy of Leechget. Clean out your REgistry, download a fresh copy and install it. Baz

How do you queue downloads in Leechget? I can only get it to download multiple files at the same time. How do you get it to do one after the other?

Aaaand, could you get it to go two by two, or three by three? My regular download speed only goes like 3 kb/s if i'm lucky,half that if there are 2, but I can do two at the same time at like 4 or 5 kb/s in Leechget. Or just always have two going? Probably not, but it sounds like a good feature... thx

 

OK, really last question this time...

Would there be any conflicts with installing Leechget 2 or 3 times? I don't know if you can make leechget always be downloading 2 files at a time, and I like that idea. So have 2 leechgets each with their own queue... Is that a possibility? thx a million.

 

Never thought of that. Hmmmmmm. Don't know if 2-3 Leechgets will work. After all, they all go down the same pipe. Give it a try and let us know. I sometimes run 2 downloads at a time but normally only 1. Bazza

Some maker used to advertise a "shotgun modem". Piggybacking 2 modems together.
