Help with a Mazda part

Hi! Need an intermittent wiper relay for my Mazda Protege '94- can't find this part online at any of the parts stores, and Autozone couldn't pull it up- I have a feeling it is not listed as a Mazda part, per se, but a brand like Durolast or Kaehler- any input? We had to drive thru a major snowstorm today w/no wipers, and more is on the way:-o Thanks!

 

Wow, that is a hard one to track down. Try either calling the Mazda dealer, sorry, some parts are dealer only... :cry Or pull the part, and search for the company and/or part number on the relay. If you can pull it, also take it to the Autozone (I prefer Oreilly's, but is just my preference) and maybe they can match it up with one.

Wow, I haven't been on for months, and you come to my rescue again Fred_G! I'm thinking I will have to pull the part- the car isn't at my house (a little bit of licensing trouble, so I share the car for a friend to drive me... nothing bad tho, just too many points!) When I try to search it, I can't find it as a Mazda part, and this has happened before w/electrical gizmos- I think it will end up being something like Durolast, etc. When I find other relays online for Volvo, Audi etc, they are all a brand like that, not a car make. Pain! Stupid snow. Thanks! I think it is something the Autozone guy could have figured out, but we don't have that other parts shop up here!

 

The relays are usually voltage and contact points. Even if you have to go to Mazda, a relay should not be to much coin. Locally, we have some salvage yards that sell a lot of used parts like that, here at least, most of the employee's there have some car knowledge and parts matching skills. Might be another option for ya.
