help with a personal problem

I'm posting here because I think a certain program might help, but had questions about it. I'm going to post the actual problem on a thread in the off-topic lounge, but will stick to my software question here.

There is a program called SC-KeyLog for download on this site, and I was wondering if it was secure. I usually trust MG programs, but I'm guessing that a keylogger can be very dangerous.
I just want to be sure that this program will be guaranteed NOT to send the keylogs anywhere but where I tell it to, and can't be hacked into easily.

I need a program that is secure, trustworthy, and that can store passwords without the computer user knowing. Just be aware that I am NOT doing anything illegal/immoral with the program, actually quite the opposite...

Any help, or advice on other programs would be greatly appreciated. If you want to know more, I'll be posting that other thread right after this one in the 'lounge'.

Well, according to that thread, all MG files are safe, but I'd still like to have someone confirm that this specific program is proven to be safe, too.

As far as the ethical dillemma, I've thought hard about it, and feel that this is the best possible solution. (see the thread in the lounge for more info on that)

Thanks for the info, it was helpful. I never even considered the spyware/virus protection thing.
