    Hello,

I have "inherited" an Acer Travelmate 2700 laptop.

    Old machine but still functional.
Drive C (17.5gb) is almost full and drive D (17.7 gb) is completely empty.

I wonder if it is possible to either merge or substantially resize the drives in order to have more space in C.

    Grateful for any help.

    Best wishes, Blas.

    Hi Blas,

Partition Magic and other programs will merge the second partition (D:) into the first (C:) as a folder. You will end up with only one partition (C:). You can then move things around as you like. Another way would be to keep the two partitions and move stuff from C: to D: to make room on C:. Programs don't like to be moved but Data is OK. Programs exist, I think Patition magic also does this, that will move Programs along with everything they need. I'm sure some of the guys here can come up with even better ideas.

    Good Luck, Jim
