Help with AOL please!!!!

help please,, i am having a few problems. well first off i got a brand new comp. less then a week old its a dell XPS 400
OS- WindowsXP service pack2
IE EXPLORER 6.0(i never use this i use firefox)
cpu type unknown 2800MHz (3.5 x 800)
system memory 1024MB
RAM 1 GIG
HD 250 GIG

my first problem is that AOL keeps on launching all by itself. i can be in the middle of doing something and it just opens up.

second is that i keep getting pop-ups that open up in IE. i never use IE and Firefox is my default browser. the only thing i downloaded through IE was firefox

last is that i am having problems viewing videos on some pages. all i get is a blank screen where the video is supposed to be no sound either

can you please help me

What sites are ye attempting to watch with firefox?

Are ye using aol for your ISP, as in your internet connection?

What popups are ye getting from IE? Are they ads?

 

-exact pop-ups i dunno but yes they are ads

 

eschew the wife and all things AOL

 

lol yeah i hate AOL but she likes it so its gotta stay
