I've been running my X1550 with no problems for a good while now. While I was playing Halo I tweaked the refresh rate a little too high and I got an out of range monitor error. I reset everything but I still get this error at certain points. I've formatted my hard drive about 5 times and I've installed Vista at one point but I still get this error.

If I use my onboard graphics everything works fine but most of my games won't run without my graphics card. I'm just hoping that there isn't anything physically wrong with the card because I really don't have the money to replace it.

    Any thoughts?

    I'm running with

    Windows XP
    1024MB DDR
    ATI 2000+ (I know it's crap)
    ASUS A7S8X-MX Motherboard

It's most likely your card, I too have a radeon x1550 (I wish i never bought it):cry my copy of knights of the old republic 2 runs sluggish on it but i reinstalled my old x700 and the game runs smoothly. but if your card is still under warrenty try to return it and get a nvidia based card (they run good).;)
