Thanks for even clicking on my link.

I am running Vista, on a Dell. I have been getting occasional blue screen crashes that reboot the computer before I can even begin to read what the screen says.

I've been reading threads and other sites, but I'm getting confused. I wanted to attach the minidump files, but I had to create a zip file so the Major Geeks board would accept them. I've never zipped a file before, so if it is wrong...sorry. There are actually 2 .dmp files and an xml file in there. Don't know how to read any of them.

Here is the information that Windows gave me:

The .xml file is in the zip file.

    The .txt file reads:

Windows NT Version 6.0 Build: 6002 Service Pack 2
Product (0x2): Windows Vista (TM) Home Basic
    Edition: HomeBasic
    BuildString: 6002.18267.x86fre.vistasp2_gdr.100608-0458
    Flavor: Multiprocessor Free
    Architecture: X86
    LCID: 1033

Heh! That would seem to be an excellent suggestion! Now I just have to wait for another crash...
