Well, just a quick question. I just got the maximus IV a couple days ago. Hooked everything up and I'll get code 30 (waking from s3 sleep) and nothing else. No picture, no post, no bios. Nothing. The machine will turn on and all the fans and peripherals will start to spin. But that's all I get. I've tried reconnecting everything. I've tried booting it with just the cpu, cpufan, and it'll post until it the case speaker does a long and two shorts (which i read is a memory error... which makes sense cause I tried the boot without ram). So I tried the same setup except with one stick of ram in the first red slot. It's going back to error code 30 with no post beeps, no picture, no nothing. Any ideas?

All that's in there right now is 1 hdd, i cd/dvd, 2600k, oczgold (just a one 2gb module right now), intel stock cooler, and an old 9800gtx+. Everything but the stock cooler, cpu, and ram module are from my old build and were working fine before I moved everything over, so I'm going to assume they're still working fine.

    sidenote.
I was able to get into the bios last night but noticed the temps were running a little high. So I redid the thermal paste job and what I described above is what's been happening.

    Hi

With this being a new motherboard try clearning CMOS to do this take the motherboard battery out for 10mins then replace, then enter the BIOS and double check your BIOS settings and make sure you have the ram and cpu settings to default and not using ASUS overclocking options.

Have you double checked the RAM and for that matter the CPU compatability list HERE

What BIOS revision are you using? if its older than the current one (1204) then think of updating the BIOS HERE (can do it via ezflash and the USB ports)

To find your BIOS revision it will be in the BIOS main menu settings.

I've done the clear cmos through the button on the rear i/o panel to no avail. I will try to clear it through battery removal though. My cpu is supported (2600k). My ram is not.. It's just a test stick that I borrowed from a friend because my new modules are still shipping. I have no idea about bios revision; I can't access the bios at all thus far.
