Does anyone have any experience with the K-byte brand of RAM? I am considering getting some and wanted to see if anyone had used it before. It is sold by one of the big box retailers. I am planning on purchasing two new sticks so they are the same size and make for my dell inspiron 6400. Also, does anyone know what happens if you put in more RAM than the manufacturer says you can?

    Thanks in advance,

    Keyser

You can only put in what your mobo will take.

    IE: 3 slots max stick size 1gb = 3gb

if you try putting 2gb sticks in your pc prob wont boot.

Check your mobo manual first also check if you can use DUAL channel ram on your mobo.

As for your brand question I have never heard of it before SORRY :(

    Good luck.
