Help with building

What are some configurations everyone has. I am looking for a good all round computer, specifically for gaming. I can't spend loads and loads of money so I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on hardware. I want to run AMD with atleast 1.5 G memory. Otherwise what proccesor, motherboard, graphics card, and hard drive...I am not too sure what to get. I don't want to spend loads on a 4400+ when I could get a cheaper and overclock to that exact speed. Any help would be fantastic.

Hey, the first line of call is what is your maximum budget?

And are you a UK or US resident?

Then we can start getting some stuff together

 

I live in the UK at the moment, but I am going to buy everything in the States because it is cheaper and I plan on moving there in the next year or so. Budget of about $1500. Below is what I've been looking at. Anything I'm missing or should get instead that is better value and what not. Advice much appreciated thanks.

Would spend a bit more on PSU and DVD drive, but that's me personally.

Nice setup, I'm sure you could find it cheaper in UK as they'll charge you a bomb from shipping from US.
