Help with cdr

    I am trying to use my cd that has my class lecture on it in my car cd player. I loaded from my Olympus digital recorder to my computer, then to the cd. I can listen to it on computer, but I want it for my car. I have a compaq with windows XP. Any clue, 'cause I'm clueless.

    Hi and welcome to Majorgeeks, couple of questions for you,

    1. What format does your Olympus Recorder store the files in? ( mp3, wav etc )
    2. What CD burning software do you have installed?

    If the format is mp3 then you will have to convert it first so it can be read by normal cd players such as the one in your car, if you can answer the 2 questions above we can work out what steps are needed to convert the files ( just hope its not some proprietry Olympus format!! )

    also, keep in mind there are a few cd players that can't read burned cds. can you play other cds in it?

    Halo,

    I hope this is right. I have a Digtal wave player 2.0.0 for the recorder & HL- DT-ST-RW/DVD GCC- 4480B. That is all I could find if you need more please tell me where to look. Thanks

    Hi

    On one of the files that your player has recoreded right click it and pick properties and next to "type of file" what does it say? ( once we know what file type it stores files in we can go about the best way to record them for playing on a home/car cd player )

    as for cd recording software on your PC, eg. Sonic Record now is sometimes installed on Compaq PCs, or Nero? ( easy way to find out is to goto Start > Programs and look at whats installed ) so I can work out the steps needed for you to follow..

    Hi,
    The recorder only says read only & has a omniPass decrypt file. The cdr is recordnow version 5.0. Does this help?
