help with COMPAQ

have a compaq m2000 im working on and dll initialization failed keeps popping up when starting the desktop and then shuts back down these are are the pop ups ive gotten with the dll initialization failed

I try and get to the control panel but shuts down and reboots before hand. its running xp home on it will a repair disk help.

 

What happens in safe mode ?

I suspect with the above listed you have malware to contend with.
