Hi, I seem to have lost my task manager. When pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete, I get a message telling me that 'task manager has been disabled by Administrator', but I know that i have not disabled it myself. On right clicking the control bar, the task manager option is grey and unaccesable, all other options are in black and useable. can anyone help me with advise on how to sort this out please?

    Sincere thanks,

    John

DrM is on to something here.... if you didn't choose to disable the task mgr yourself or by using one of those Windows 'tweaking' type programs, chances are you have malware. Here's a link to a little tool that will re-enable the task manager for you, but you really should visit the malware forum and the the READ ME sticky and follow the steps....
