Help with Excel Macros

Hi mate!
I have a range of numbers in one cells. My taks is using excel to seperate 3 digits pairs for all numbers and validate it. If 3 digits are bigger than 500 then turn that delete that 3 digits pair. In the end, the task ask to count the total 3 digits pairs. I'm just newbie so it'd be hard for me to write a macro to do such complicated task. So please help me.

Well, I don't think I can tell you how to create a macro to do this, but I think you need to clarify your requirements for the benefit of anyone who might be able to help you.

Exactly how do you want to group those numbers? Starting from the upper left corner and simply going from left to right and chopping off three digits at a time? Or, is it more complicated than that? I see you have 70 characters in each row except the fifth row down, which has 69 characters. 70/3 leaves a remainder of 1. If the 23 sets of 3 digits are taken from row 1, again, is that last digit supposed to be combined with the first two digits of the next row?
