OK. I just found out my sound card is fried. This alone was causing all of my games to crash. So i just disabled it and games run fine now with the exception of Fallout or any other interplay/Black Isle title. In order to get these games running i have to enable it.
Sad thing is they crash about 4 minutes in. 3d games not a prob with card disabled.
I was just wondering if anyone here knew a way to hack Fallout Tactics or any interplay title for that matter to get sound disabled before launch. As is i know this is the problem.
I wont be able to afford a new sound card for awhile and hate not being able to play my classics.

    any help is most appreciated.

You can get a decent cheap sound card (something like a Soundblaster Live! Value) for about $15.

P.S. - As the sound card is disabled, I'm not so sure that it is causing your game to crash. In any case, you could look through the configuration files to see if there is something there. They are probably something ending in .ini or .cfg.
