help with firefox

Yesterday I switched to firefox,but the whole time I'm online I keep getting this annoying popup about searching for 1% what is that, and do I need it? I'm running windows me

 

stephie, can you list sites that this happens on and possibly post a screen shot of the pop up?

 

It happens on every web site. It popups and yahoo starts searching for keyword 1%file:///C:/temp/%251%20-%20Yahoo!%20Search%20Results.htm

 

hang on stephie. I'm going to consult with another person on this one. I'm not sure what's causing it.
Meanwhile, go to c:\temp and delete everything that's in there.. it's a temp dir so you don't need anything in it.

Also, do you have any extensions for firefox installed?

 

OK I did that, One of the temp files said ( No doctype?)

 

Well I have the ones I used with Explorer, It's not the same? or do I have to download new ones?

 

Yahoo pops up? Do you have SBC dialup or SBC DSL?

 

I talked with another knowlegable member and we've decided that it could be a hijack.. please follow the tutorial in this thread.
