I recently tried to overclock the ram in a Gateway 5200S computer. It uses an Intel 915G motherboard. I changed the frequency from 400mhz to 533 mhz. Now the computer will not boot up, not even the video. I have tried the Intel bios repair utility/driver, but that will not work, because the cd rom does not boot either..obviously, the ram and cpu are totally locked up. I have tried Gateway support, which was a total waste of time, for they suggested that I toss the motherboard in the garbage. Does anyone know what can be done to fix this problem? Does this motherboard use true bios, or is it a cmos ram that I can reset. I have tried to use the factory jumper, but that does nothing. I have removed the battery for 24 hours, That does nothing. Any constructive thoughts are welcome...Thanks
