Help with HighMat CD Writing Wizard

I suppose this was download from the windows update utility if the searches I've done have been correct, but my question is if this is really needed? Moreover how can I remove it, it seems to install itself after I use certain applications.

 

DOn't have any idea what it's for, but yes, it is an optional update on windowsupdate.

there's what it is and what it's supposed to do Probably not needed, unless you have a standalone device that supports it. Removal should be one of the hotfixes in add/remove. If applications you use keep installing it then I wouldn't mess with it. It seems rather harmless.

 

Highmat has certain problems, especially with something that can't read it.

Do you need it? No.

Do you want it? Probably not.
