Help with hp dv7

    I have an HP dv7 3186cl, at start-up it get to the login screen and the touchpad freezes. touchpad Light is on can not be turned off, pointer will not move. I tried a wired and wireless usb mouse, still will not move.I can't login for it to continue booting. The only way to turn it off is to hold the power button down. Memory and harddrive test are ok. can not do restore or recovery because pointer does not work. Tried numerous hard resets but nothing. Thanks for any help. Tried all safe modes--nothing

    Hi my friend , welcome to MG's :major , what programmes do you have in your machine ? Are you trying to go into safe mode ( push one of them F8 , F2 , Del or Esc ) etc ? :wave
