Help with internet

Guess you could call this a problem or maybe more of an annoyance than anything. Recently changed service from cable to dsl. Did a bandwidth test and here's the results:

now, to the "problem".... when on cable and playing games like counter-strike I would be finding servers where my latency was ranging from 20 on up. Now the lowest I'm able to find is usually 80. I know that the servce I'm getting is more than enough that I should be able to have pings lower than 80 at best. I know people who use wireless internet with a service of 512/512 and they're able to find servers where they ping in the 20's and so on. Just trying to find some reasons for this. Could the low upload speed be a part of the reason? Running AntiVir and windows xp firewall is on. Anybody wanting to offer suggestions is greatly appreciated.

If you know the IP address of one of the servers with the games, then do a tracert to that IP address. It will show you where the slowdown is.
