This message displays when i am useing ebay, and not being techie minded i am not sure if it affects anything else.
I am running Windows XP SP3 and IE8 I have just downloaded the newest version of Java, Java7. The problem i get on ebay aswell, not sure if they are related I cannot view other pictures of peoples items, if they have taken more than 1 picture of same item. Hope this helps you to help me.

Sorry, I do not use IE on any of my computers except to update windows; if the directions didn't work, I don't know what else to suggest.

Sorry, not clear: you tried, or you did enable scripting? (See image below what needs to be set.)

If you have this setting enabled, other possibilities are pop-up blockers (browser add-ons).

ok it works now had to go into Advanced and set active scripting there. Thanks for ALL your help really much appreciated. now I just have to find out why when i start-up my PC the windows starts ok but takes an age to display desktop items and if this is the cause of my open windows closing down to the taskbar. :-o

Slow startup can have several reasons, but most of all if there are too many startup items.

Do you have by any chance CCleaner installed? If so, go and check Tools | Startup: what items do you have in there?

Another reason for slow startup can be if you have lots of heavy items (installers, documents, etc.) on your desktop. Ideally there should only be shortcuts on the desktop (aside from genuine desktop items like the Recycle Bin).
