Help with LCD monitors

I have two LCD monitors that have stopped working. The stand by light is on but will not start up. Every now and then they will work. can any body throw some light on this for me. Or tell me a site that will allow me to try to repair them. I would like to thenk you before hand:confused

 

have you tried the monitors on other ps's to see if you get the same results

 

Yes I have tried four computers and the the outcome is the same.

 

Are the monitors from the same manufacturer, LCD monitors go up all the time as does anything else, however the chances that you get 2 suggest there is a common denominator.
1. the monitors are from the same manufacturer and have a defect.
2. your computer has a problem and causing your monitors to fail.

I've never opened the case on a monitor (way above my pay grade) so I can't give you a suggestion on what to do with them.

I'd hold on here and see if someone has a suggestion on a way to check your video card or mother board for a defect (again above my pay grade).

Lastly I'd use a cheaper monitor (crt) until you can narrow the problem, I'd hate for you to loose a 3rd LCD

 

fixya seem to have some answers if it's a common problem with your model. I'd try the manufacturer first, and check the cables.

The monitors are a different make.
I have a Mozo 15" TFT156ps which I purchased from Tiny computers at the Computer store before they went bust. one year later the monitor stopped working.
I have a LG Flatron L17155 and after a year stopped working. I have tried the moniotrs on four different computers. sometimes they come on but most of the time they don,t. they are outside the warrentry. so I cannot get help from the
manufacturer. there is nothing wrong with any of my computers because they are all running LCD monitors.
