   I really need help since all programs on my desktop and startmenu for quite over a month have changed to .LNK extensions and i can't use them. it is really tormenting me.
   HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused

   Try the exe file association link from this page. Just unzip the file and then right click the .reg file inside and select Merge. It will as permission so say OK.
   
   See if that sets things right.
