help with ltc-48161h cdrw/dvd

    on another computer i am running windows 98 with ie 6.i have a rom with model #ltc-48161h. only funtion i get get out of this rom is cd PLAYER. we have tried to download drivers but none let burner of dvd work. any all help will be appreciated. please us simple terms for i am not great with comps.

    Does it actaully have the ability to burn DVDs?

    it does not burn dvd, but its listed as a cdrw and dvd player.

    Sorry if I have missed something? are you trying to play dvds and burn CDs? and it wont let you do either?

    I have had a look at the Lite-On site and it should definately do what you have been trying to do, does Windows acknowledge the drive as a DVD Drive? What software have you been using to play DVDs? and Burn CDs? Windows 98 if it is stock standard is pretty ordinary in that department.
