Help with my computer

    Hi all I have been having a problem with my comp lately. everytime that i try and acess "My Computer" my system locks up.
    Any ideas other then reformating or doing a windows repair cause i bought this sys. prebuilt at a show and i dont have a copy of windows to go on.

    If you don't have a copy of Windows then it's going to make it harder as you can't use things like "System File Checker".

    What version of Windows is it?

    Have you tried running check disk from boot?

    I've found that usually the last thing I think of and the one thing that resolves most issues. *shrugs*
