help with my drives

i need some help with my drives. when i double click "my computer" it only shows my c: drive, no a: d: or e: drives. i have checked my ide cables and they are fine. when i power up the computer it gets stuck on the BIOS screen for about a minute, then it will load windows. my light on my floppy drive now stays on the entire time. i am lost right now. thanks

specs:

1.7 celeron
40 gig 7200 rpm
cd-rom/cd-rw

 

If the light on your floppy drive stays on all the time, that means you have the cable on backwards.
I would triple check your IDE cables too, seeing as your floppy cable is backwards.
Don't forget about power....
