Help with my OS

Hi All,

I hope I'm posting in the right place...I created a major boo boo in my registry. I received a tip to perform the following edit to the registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management, change LargeSystemCache from 0 to 1. I did not back up my registry before doing this. After restarting, I could no longer load windows. I think the resources were too low. I tried "last know good config", "safe Mode" and it would start to load hang and then restart. I cannot get into a windows interface to edit the registry and get it back to default. Does anyone know how I can change that registry key back to "0".

Can't really help but I tried this reg setting once and had exactly the same prob.I don't think it's a resource issue as I have a gig of ram but I have the page filing turned off.
Had to use a norton ghost boot disk and restore from a ghost image to get my system back.Wonder if a repair install using the xp cd could help.

It seems as though an agp driver windows was trying to load during safe mode start up was the problem. I disabled the driver start up and was then able to get into safe mode, where I was able to change the registry value back to "0". everything is working fine now. Thanks for your post and help.
