*Help with my Ping*

Yo peeps, my ping is already pretty low, in FEAR+BF2 I usually roll with a 15-35 ping. But I would like to drop it just a bit lower if possible. Also I'd like to clear up some of my page file memory if possible. My Total Mem is 1.0gb, but my free physical mem is only 633mb . Here is a copy of my Open Processes, I have already turned off all my unnecessary Processes ( atleast I got rid of the ones i could recognize) like my Printer and FRAPs. Can anyone mention a few processes I can kill without losing my Mouse setts, AV and Firewall?

EDIT:I dont normally use 3Dmark when gaming either, but Im running it right now because I just OC'ed my gpu !

tbh a 15 ping is very good to get any lower you would pretty much need to be running the server.

 

He's right, I think that's about as low as you can get without a line direct to it.

 

How do you go about reducing your ping. Mine is around 140. I'm sure I don't have a malware problem as I regularily run spybot and windows defender and I don't experience any other performance problems, just the slow ping in battlefield 2.

 

Pretty much by selecting servers closer to you. Even with a big download servers from countries you are not in will give you a higher ping than usual.

 

Obviously the more powerful your connection, the less ping, but it's not necessarily true about the 'closest server' rule. For example, I get a better Ping off servers in Atlanta, than I do off those from Chicago.
