I'm revamping my company website. http://www.glasserectorsinc.com and in doing so, I would like some kind of logo for the company. I am attaching what I have. I picture something with this logo maybe in a more dramatic color scheme, and with Glass Erectors Inc written beside it. I imagine you can do it in Gimp, but I don't know how.. If anyone can come up with something, that would be great. Heck, I'll even link to MG if it'd be alright.

I'm thinking something like this, with or without this logo, and maybe an oval type shape around it.

    Hi Paxton

A rough idea of what I first thought of what I was thinking, idea was that your in the USA, and using the RED/WHITE/BLUE of the US flag in your geometric design, which is really good as a logo BTW and I would keep it, is the below quick design.

I was done in Photoshop CS3 and I did save it in .psd .tiff .jpeg if you want the design.

    That looks phenomenal.
If anything else gets posted here, I'll take a look at it as well.

I really apreciate it. I'll never know how to do anything like that.

    Thanks again.

Cheers, looking at it again I would tweak a few bits but not too much as you dont want to go over fussy with a logo as printing costs go higher, fonts should be clean and crisp ( used Type1 and OpenType ) and easy readable.

Only think I woudl adjust is the positioning of the text to go a tad higher for design flow, was thinking of adding to the i of incorporated the dot in blue or red, undecided on that although it would bring some colour in from the logo ( dont want to over do it with too colourful text as it looks tacky ).

I agree with the above. I think moving it up some would be better looking, and dotting the i another color would be cool too. I'm mostly going to use the logo on our website, although business cards, and letterhead wouldn't be hard to have follow suit. I'd like to see a swoosh somewhere like these logo's.. http://www.julieandcompany.com/images/swooshes.png

I feel I'm being pushy now, but I don't know how to do any of it. lol I hope I'm not a bother.

Just my 2cents...the first of the two right above this post looks great. Actually they both do. Very professional. Pretty impressive Halo.

Laura beat me to it, but I love the first of the last two. I'm glad you took an interest in this.. Is it hard to do? could you make the centered one with the white being transparent? Last request.

    Thank you!

If you give me something, I'll put the link of your choice on my site when it's done, granted it could be a while.

Hi Paxton, the white I guess your meaning the background?

Hard to do, yes and no... hard part is having a vision in your head of what you want to achieve, then its just knowing how to achieve it in the design application you have, GIMP is close to Photoshop so you could do the same as I have by building up layers of the design as it makes it much easier to adjust then when you have a section correct you merge those layers, take for instance the blue dot in incorporated is two seperate layers merged the word and a blue circle, then with drop shadow applied and reduced in brightness.

PM me with your email address and ASAP I will send you the folder of the designs in it, the editable ones are the .psd ( Photoshop ) files, which GIMP should open IIRC.

Thanks  I did design in art college, never took it up professionally though.
