    Hi

What Service Pack is your Windows XP at?

What security applications (antivirus/firewall etc) do you have installed? do disable them to see if your Wireless can connect.

What errors do you get when you try and connect via wireless?
If the PC has a on/off wifi button near the keyboard, make sure its on, quick and easy fix at times.

In Device Manager do you have any yellow ! marks by any devices, if so what?

Have you had any malware (virus) infection reciently?

Is your computer detecting the wireless connection? If not, is the wireless light on your router lit up? If not, check your router settings and ensure that your wireless is enabled. Do this by opening up the RUN wondow and typing CMD. Once the window is open type ipconfig and see what your default gateway is (It'll be 192.168.x.x). Once you have the ip address enter it in your browsers address bar. This will take you into your routers setup/configuration page. There may also be a setup wizard too that'll walk you through it and test your connection.

What exactly was the ip address you entered? And you got it through ipconfig right? Also, sorry I should have mentioned, you need to be hardwired via ethernet while doing all this.

Is your computer picking up the wireless? Or does is not even find it at all?

I have just clicked on the wireless network icon and it just says not connected?

I have been wireless for the last 12 months, is there something i haven't done on the wireless setup page.

Are you using the windows wireless utility or third party sofware?
