I like the Windows Classic Start Menu. I have always been able to add Open Office Doc and New Office Doc to the top of the single column format. I was successful in adding it with Win95, 98, XP and Office 2003. This function gave you quick access to start a new document in any of the programs. Is there a different way to do this in Office 2007? Is it possible to add New and Open to the Start Bar? How do I accomplish it?

    Hi and Welcome

By default IIRC this option is not installed, but you can add it via a custom install or later on by going to Add/Remove in Control Panel then click Office 2007 (your version) and then Change, then once the list of Office apps and features comes up click Office Shared Features then click New and Open Office Documents Shortcuts and choose Run from my Computer then click Continue
