   does anyone know how to get a game that requires win 2000 or xp( such as fable: the lost chapters) to work on a computer that has windows ME?

   No is NOT possible because of .dll and the kernel and a lot of thing you have no choice to upgrade to a new OS.
   
   If you check around xp is pretty cheap now around $90.00
