Empty the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder.

    Start Internet Explorer
    a. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    b. Click the General tab.
    c. Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
    d. When you are prompted to delete all temporary Internet files, click OK.

    Try the images now.

Now I am lost. You deleted your temp files and now when you try and save the JPEG file you get the message about MS Word?

Maybe I am missing something here.

How about saving them as bitmap and getting Irfanview (small free graphics editor you can download here at Major Geeks) to save them as .gif or whatever extension you want for the the graphics.

I am running VISTA and am having trouble viewing animated files (gif) in outlook. I can send them to myself using a server account like yahoo and see the animation just fine. But when I send the file from the server account and download it into outlook, the animation doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

imaquiltr, start a new thread with your problem. It isn't good to post your problem in another's thread; nor is it good to post to a 2 month old thread unless you have another solution for the original poster's problem.
