    Hi.

My browser is hijacked i think, as it always loads some website when i open Explorer6, even after i got to OPTIONS and reset it to blank. Secondly, i cannot download or even go a site that has 'hijackthis' or 'spybot S&D' on it. I do a search at Google, and when i click on a site that has these, all my browsers close. The only site where i get close to donloading spybot is at 'download.com', but it always downloads 99% then errors.

Also when i burnt these programs from another computer, the comp with the problem does not read these files on my USB pen or CD-R. the files are their, as the disk space is used up, but does not show. I have downloaded Adaware and CWSSearch, run Norton AV4 and they have picked up nothing.

Thirdly, i am not able to log into HOTMAIL as well as other secured sites. Have tried setting IE6 to default and turned off all Norton Firewalls.

    HELP PLEASE!!!

You did not mention your OS! And have you tried running scans after booting in safe mode?

Did you try the steps in the following link: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
Or do your problems prevent this?

Do you have floppy disk drive and can you read any files from it at all?
What about a CD drive and reading files from it?

If you have a floppy or a CD drive and they work okay, see if you can get someone to copy HijackThis.exe (already extracted from the ZIP) and CWShredder.exe. Post a HijackThis log as a .txt file attachment.

Did you try to use some of the online scan sites like:
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
    http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/license.php
    http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
    http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/

If you have WinXP, you could even try booting in safe mode with network support and try the online scans.
