Hey, I am trying to replace an old thermal printer from an hunter alingment bay with an oki data 320 with an added in serial card. The old printer cable had a DB25 male connector to the system using only the pins 3,4,7,12 and 20 and the connection to the old thermal printer was a AT connection using only four of the five pins. If you try to connect a DB25 type A connection to the board then a centronics type C connection to the oki data printer the alignment computer won't even turn on. So I tried making a cable with a stright through on the excate pin layout of the old cable from the computer to the printer and that didn't work. So I got both a dual DB25 male pass through and printer switch box cable and neither one would work. Does anyone have any idea how I could make a cable to go from the computer to the printer using DB25 male connection on both ends using that pin layout of the old cable?
