I'll start at the beginning. My bro wanted to install Fedora Core (some version of linux) on his second hard drive. So he formated it and wutnot and then did that, the only problem is, that for some reason our boot files for XP professional that were located on the primary hard drive were on the second hard drive (b/c long ago we installed XP to the primary hard drive while using windows 2000 pro on the secondary). Now when we lost those boot files and we can't get back into XP. If you can help me fix that then stop there.

if you can't then this is my primary problem. We reinstalled XP pro on the second Hard drive and we were going to start over and import our old files from the old XP pro, however I have a folder on the old XP hard drive that has been encrypted using the NTFS's encryption. Well i figured, no biggy, just copy my files over right?

    wrong.

i can't b/c i cannot decrypt those files b/c of the encryption in place. i need to obtain the public key (which holds the decryption information) from the old XP settings and use them to remove the encryption on the folder. The reason this folder is important is b/c it contains a lot of my personal stuff, my financial records, business documentations, and much more stuff that cannot be lost. So if you can help me get these files back, PLEASE help me.
