Do you have a Netgear USB wireless adaptor?
Do you use the netgear wizard to connect to wireless networks?
    "RTacDbg.txt" is a Netgear logfile.

Try disabling the netgear wizard and used the one built into windows instead and see if that fixes your problem.

99% of the time, log files can be erased safely. The program that creates it usually does it for the user to reference, so there probably is a setting somewhere that you can set to "disable log file" or something similar.

Thanks to everybody for the replies.

I'll have the hardware checked out and tidy up the machine if indeed that's it.

Great support from the forum - as always

I to have a NETGEAR WG111v2 usb WIFI adapter. This morning win xp is telling me I'm running out of HD space at an exponential rate! I was down to 45 mbytes on a 20 gig HD. I deleted hiberfil.sys and some other huge filez give me 1.9 gigs of free space. But, my hard drive is loseing free space like a ship sinking in Lake Erie.........
    Long story short:
I did a search for new files created today and i found RTacDbg.txt which is a log file for the NETGEAR WG111v2 usb WIFI adapter.
I started windows Task Manager, clicked on Processes, hghlighted the entry for WG111v2.exe and clicked the End Process button, problem solved!
So far the file is only 4k bytes, it was 3k when new.
    P.S.
Props to the MAJORGEEKS.com forum which is how I learned the the RTacDbg.txt is a log file for the NETGEAR WG111v2 usb WIFI adapter.
