I just bought 2 SATA HDDs (Maxtor Diamondmax plus 10).

I have plugged them in, I need someone to help me install XP on them and setup RAID 0.

    Where should I start?

    What I've done so far is;

Downloaded the maxblast 4 program that creates a bootable floppy with drivers on. I tried installing XP and pressed F6 when prompted to install sata drivers.
It said "textsetup.oem could not be found"

Then I tried to install the drivers by booting from the floppy but the program (maxblast 4) could not find any HDDs.

I have plugged them in correctly I do not know what to do.

Is it a good idea to setup XP on 1 HDD then connect the second HDD to setup RAID 0? How do I do this?

I am setting up XP on 1 HDD now because I reset the BIOS and disconnected 1 of them and it seems to work.

Ok I did it. I connected my existing IDE HDD which had XP installed on it. Then I downloaded Intel Application Accelerator (www.asus.com) and used it to create the RAID 0 array! :D

Now I have another problem. I am trying to install XP on the RAID array. XP setup keeps saying it cannot find the HDD. What should I do?

I'm a bit confused to what you have done so far. The mobo should have raid drivers specfic to the raid controller. But the process should go something as follows:
You'll have to refer to the manual for the exact bios settings, my old Nf2 board I had to list it as a scsi drive. But the one thing you have to do is to use the sata pre-installation drivers when doing a new install of the os, the mobo should have pre-install sata and preinstall sata raid driver, makse sure to use the raid. Put the drivers on a disk and press F6 when prompted for 3rd part drivers during windows installation. Everything else is same. Btw don't have any ide drives plugged in when installing the OS on sata, cause if you didn't configure the bios properly, windows will install the os to the ide and you'll think is it on the sata.

Raid is controlled by the raid chip on the mobo. The mobo should have a manuals specific to setting up the raid through the raid interface. Once you have completed the raid, then you should be able to install the OS. and install the pre-install raid drivers.

I would start this whole process over again from the beginning.

Btw, installing anything on the IDE is pointless when trying to install the OS on the Sata drives

Here's the problem, I cannot install the SATA drivers in the XP setup. I do not have a floppy with drivers on. The only thing I found for these HDDs is a thing called Maxblast 4 which only creates a bootable floppy with utilities on.

Well who's the mobo maker and the model, I'm sure you can go online and download the drivers

I don't need MOBO related drivers, I need HDD drivers. They are Diamondmax plus 10 80 gig SATA hard drives. I've looked everywhere for drivers but can't find any.

They don't exist, raid is controlled by the raid chip on the MOBO, maybe you should just keep arguing this and looking for something that doesn't exist.

Using your logic, I coud run raid on any mobo that had a sata connection, which isn't the case.

Trying reading the manual and maybe you could learn something.

    Ok you're right.

So I have a Volume that is 152.6 GB, it is RAID 0. How do I install XP onto this volume?

EDIT: I think I found the file I need for the XP setup. :p

What is the model and make of the mobo? They should have the driver for downlaod on the web site, also the driver should had come with the mobo, may be on a seperate disk or in a folder on the driver cd, you'd need to explore the cd to find them.

Did you use #4 and not #1, #4 is the pre-install drivers" Floppy Configuration Utility - IntelĀ® Matrix Storage Manager [F6FLPY32.ZIP]"?
