help with system restore

Hi all I really hope someone can help with this one I have an HP dv9008nr with Windows XP Pro Media center my problem is I had to do a full system restore since I did everything for the most part is working OK except when I go to my system restore I no longer have an option to UNDO my last restore point only restore to an earlier time or create a restore point. I would be most grateful if someone could tell me how to get this option back without reformatting my computer and starting over any help would be most appreciated.

Does above apply to how you did the restore? If so undo is not an option.

 

Thank you for replying but I didn't do the system restore from safe mode or cmd I went through the program file under system tools I was able to do it prior to reformatting my computer now it's just not an option it just doesn't make any sense everything else went in fine no problems except I am unable to undo a point.

If you changed/installed something after the restore point I'm guessing that would also make the option unavailable too. What is the problem after the restore that you want to undo now...maybe fixable?
