Help with Tiny Laptop?

I have a Tiny Laptop. and a couple of months ago the hard drive started to play up. So I reformatted and started again. But the hard drive kept playing up. So I purchased another hard drive from a local store and tried to install the software that came with the laptop. I could not get the software to detect my hard drive so I could not install the software. I installed a fresh copy of windows on to the hard drive and the drive is working well. But I would like to know how I can get the software that came with the laptop to accept the new hard drive.

Which hard drive did you reinstall Window to?

What is the size of the old and new drives?

Have you tried to detect the new hard drive in Bios before installing any software?

I have installed a new 40 gb hard drive on to my Laptop, the old one was 20 GB. I have installed my computers copy of windows xp on the Laptop to see if I will install it correctly, it done just that and is working ok. The trouble is I cannot use the laptop because I cannot install the software that came with my laptop. The laptop does recognise the hard drive but will not install the software.

I have bouight a new 40GB drive for my laptop. the old one now broken. I would like to install the new hard drive with the operating system that came with my laptop. The only problem is the software will not let me install on to the new drive. the bios sees the drive. and I wish to install xp.

I must inform you that Tiny /Time computers have gone bust in this country. The laptop is a Tiny /Time laptop

I know this is now a few years old, it does work well with a new hard drive.

Have you tried to copy the software installation files to the HD and install from there

 

No I haven't how do I do that? Can some one please explain a little.
