    Hi bcm,

Have you tried manually activating the Infrared form the Control Panel?

Two answer both question: There is no keys to activate the sensor, and what is the program title in the control?

An old page from MS describes accessing infrared via Control Panel.

You need also to check in Device Manager, if it has been disabled there, it will need re-enabling.

PS - check in the BIOS to ensure it's turned on, too :)
