I am trying to upgrade the bios on a friends old Compaq computer. I have been to the Compaq website. I don't quite understand how to upgrade the Compaq bios, it doesn't seem as simple as making the typical bios boot floppy that is more common. The computer is a Compaq Deskpro EXm C566/10/8/64c US. The bios chip is an Amibios 686.

    Kman,
Compaq bios are packaged into what they call ROMPAQ's. The ROMPAQ's usually make the floppy for you and then you boot with that it updates automatically.
