**Help With Video Card**

wats up fellaz...i consider myself a bit of a noob, therefore im requesting some help...Im looking to get a graphic card, and unfortunately, i can only get a PCI card..i got a budget of $150...i was looking at newegg, and came across this one...

will i be able to play games like HL2 and doom 3...

You should be able to, I have a 5200 and didn't have a problem with HL2 and I'm playing DOOM 3 now @ mid range settings.

I also got a 5200 PCI version for my daughters PC from Monarch (free 2nd day shipping, which cut the cost some). From what I read there wasn't much diff between the 5200 and 5500 versions. If you can shoot for the 5700 model, from what I read that was a better buy.

Of course the limits of the PC which you plan on putting it into play a factor.
