My son got a new HP notebook which has Windows 10. While setting it up, he was asked for his microsoft account email which he put in. The computer now has a picture in with the default background photos that he doesn't want there (old girlfriend). Notebook is brand new and he never uploaded anything to it. He wants this picture out. I tried to find it and looked it up on the internet. I found all the other background pictures in C:\windows\web\wallpaper but this particular picture isn't in there. Can anyone help me find this so I can delete it? Thanks.

If the picture is on the PC, it's probably a jpeg.
Use the Search funtion and type *.jpg
When you find it, right-click > Properties and you'll see the location.

Get your son to log into his online MS account and work through his Profile and privacy settings there. Do similar with the settings/privacy settings on the PC.

Thanks Eldon, but somehow, it doesn't seem to be any of the 900 jpgs on the notebook. Out of all the jpgs on here, there seems to be just one that we recognze of our son but the one that is showing up with 4 other "backgrounds" isn't in here. Can it be residing somewhere in his microsoft account instead of in C:?

    Satrow,

Checked the Microsoft account profile, security and privacy but there doesn't seem to be any pictures anywhere on there. Not really sure how to check it on the notebook...or what I'm checking for...

Right click your desktop and choose personalize. Change the pic. Choose browse and maybe your pic will turn up and you can delete it.

Outlook/hotmail.com had the most options available of the MS sites I looked at last, the picture is probably the Profile picture, change it to something different (upload a neutral photo to replace it), then visit the Privacy settings and block all but 'Me' from seeing anything.
