Help!!!!!!!!

I am having trouble with my windows explorer. Everytime i go to open either my pictures and things like that it a message appears that says "windows explorer has encounterd a problem and must shut down" and then it and rebooting my computer didn't help. Can someone please help?

Windows Explorer

Hi there everyone

I am still having trouble with my windows explorer and it seems everything i try to do doesn't fix the problem.

When it closed last I copied down the error signature

AppName: explorer.exe
Appver: 6.0.2800.1106
Modname: shell32.dll
Modver:6.0.2800.18166
Off Set: 0007aeb2

I hope this information can help and I am starting to get desperate now as all I can do on my computer is use the internet.

I've tried virus scans, RegCure program, disabling shell extensions, running microsoft debug programs, removing certain programs and none of that worked.

 

have you tried deleting the ie cache?
Internet options > delete files > apply.
it siunds silly, but i had a similar prob, and it helped....i dont know why...just try

Hmmz.. how about next time copy Error ID from your Event log.. (Control Panel > Administrator Tools > Event log > System logs) should be showing error when this occures. Other wise that doesn't much help and what system are ya using.. that ain't Windows XP that's for sure.. or old version. Version should be v6.0.2900.2180 as far I know.. About that error itself.. What state that error occures in your system? Just hangs and shows error?

 

So, is your avatar iceskating or rollerblading? I can't tell for sure, though I suspect the answer is rollerblading...

Can you copy and post the EXACT error message for us? Copy ALL of it, exactly as it appears; we need more information than you've already provided. I'd really like to help you nail this down...

Hey guys unfortunately i can't post the exact problem because to find that it is in control panel and atm i can't open control panel

 

Try a system restore to a point shortly before the problem occured.... that should do it....

 

Why can't you open the control panel? Is your not being able to open the control panel related to your Windows Explorer crashing?
