Hi everybody, I want to quick thank you for all the problems that your guides have solved in the past, but now I have a problem that I can't find listed anywhere.
I'm not sure where to start, the computer has been a little wonky since I had to clean out an adware/trojan infestation a few weeks ago. But that is not the major problem right now....while I was working on some cable stuff (our cable modem and router have been acting up as well...) I leaned over to reach for something and the wireless keyboard dropped off it's perch and landed keys down. It seems that on top of everything, the keyboard has now gone into some kind of default 'quick-keys' mode that I can't get out of. I can't type anything in (typing 'w', for example, closes the window), navigation by mouse is iffy, and I can't even get the furshlugginer system restore to activate to revert to some happier day last month whan all was running well (and this feature was working fine 3 weeks ago when I was working on trojan removal...)

I have Windows XP, the wireless keyboard and mouse system is a Logitech 'cordless desktop' MX3000.

I've been backing up like mad for the last week or so, so dumping everything and starting over is looking tempting, but I would love to avoid that because we have some programs on this machine that are frankly a pain in the butt to reload....Thanks in advance for your wise advice, Juno

Two possible suggestions one is to remove the batteries from both Keyboard and the mouse, wait ten seconds then reinsert......Second is to uninstall the keyboard and mouse with "Remove Hardware" then reinstall...........And Welcome to Major Geeks........Hope that helps
