   Hi guys this is muy first time here hope evrone is well.I have an issue I have a laptop with xp professional it boots up starts windows gets to the profile screen the desktop comes up, but only shows the back ground or screen saver,no icons or start menu what could be the problem?

   Press CTRL+ALT+Delete. Under the processes Tab, is explorer.exe shown to be running?
