i hope this is the right forum...

screen pops up and says:

Error Signature
szAppName: alg.exe szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 szModName: ntdll.dll
sdmodversion: 5.1.2600.2180 offset:0002d9cb


anyone know what this is????

 

do a search for alg.exe on your computer and make sure it's located in the C:\Windows\System32\ folder....
alg.exe:
Application Layer Gateway service is a component of of Windows OS. It is required if you use a 3rd party firewall or Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) to connect to the internet. Do not end this program in task manager - you will lose all internet connectivity until next restart or login.

Do you use another firewall other than the windows one? or do you use connection sharing? might want to start there
